During this two-day SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager training course, attendees gain an in-depth understanding of how to effectively perform their role in the Agile Release Train (ART) as it delivers value through Program Increments. Participants that complete the course will be eligible to sit the SAFe POPM certification exam.
Attendees explore how to apply Lean thinking to decompose Epics into Features and Stories, refine Features and Stories, manage Program and Team backlogs, and plan and execute Iterations and Program Increments. Attendees also discover how the Continuous Delivery Pipeline and DevOps culture contribute to the relentless improvement of the ART.
Following the overwhelming success of our online SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager training, we plan to continue to offer public training online to make it accessible to our clients around Australia and across the globe. You can learn about our approach to remote SAFe training here.

Our trainers are experienced real-world practitioners who have been working with SAFe full time since at least 2014. Pretty Agile is the only Scaled Agile Partner that guarantees your SAFe training will be delivered by a minimum of two deeply experienced SAFe trainers. In a Pretty Agile SAFe class, we go beyond the standard slides by sharing our wide and varied implementation experience. Our team prides itself on delivering classes that are full of practical takeaways. Should you wish to continue your SAFe journey post the class, the team at Pretty Agile is able to support your organisation as an implementation partner.
If you are not sure if this class is right for you check out our guide on Choosing a SAFe Certification.
There are no mandatory prerequisites for the SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager certification, however, this class does assume participants have an understanding of the Scaled Agile Framework.
The following prerequisites are highly recommended :
Attendees may be eligible to apply for PDUs toward their continuing education requirements with the Project Management Institute (PMI) for PMP, PgMP, and PMI-ACP certifications.
Certified SAFe professionals may be eligible to apply for Scrum Education Units (SEUs) toward earning or renewing a Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) designation through the Scrum Alliance. Please confirm requirements with Scrum Alliance’s SEU policy before submitting units for credit.
Thanks, Melissa and Claire for a great course! I enjoyed the learning experience, the exchanges and at times, the challenging discussions with a group of very diverse industry background and experience. Thanks, everyone!
Very pleased to have obtained Product Owner / Product Manager certification in the Scaled Agile Framework for enterprise. Many thanks to the terrific trainers from Pretty Agile Melissa Hay and Claire Sanders as well as the wonderful support, mentoring and coaching from the AMP Agile+ Ways of Working team.
Thanks to Pretty Agile and the Agile+ team at AMP for making this a fun and interactive virtual experience.
Was an amazing course with equally amazing facilitators! Thank you Adrienne Wilson and Claire Sanders
Thanks to [the] Pretty Agile team and specially to our awesome instructors Claire Sanders and Adrienne Wilson for making the learning so enjoyable.
Em and Claire had really good practical insights for concepts discussed on the SAFe model that we could take away to try out in our environment as Product owners. They also had the skills, knowledge and the right tools to be conducting the SAFe POPM class on a remote basis, given the prevailing lockdowns in Melbourne. Several group activities were conducted throughout the two days that kept the us really engaged with the rest of the attendees while being able to learn from their experiences.
Thanks Pretty Agile. Great facilitation Melissa Hay & Claire Sanders.
Highly recommend to anyone transitioning into PO/PM roles or driving Agile transformations to understand how to optimise Product Management function.
Em Campbell-Pretty / Claire Sanders -- Thanks for the training/coaching, was a great couple of days.
Claire used a great mixture of knowledge transfer and activities to reduce fatigue. She also has a great understanding of class behaviour and how people learn in different pace.
